Carbon Neutrality

To us, this is just the beginning…

Russell Osur, Design Director/CEO

Coronet’s goal has always been to do what’s right when it comes to sustainability.

We’ve committed to taking even more action on our social responsibilities. This year, we formally made significant steps to integrate our efforts.

We'll be installing rooftop solar panels at our New Jersey headquarters, which will provide 100% of Coronet's power.

We'll continue to use the best available technology to produce the most energy-efficient fixtures possible.

Carbon footprint

In 2019, we completed the process of becoming a certified CarbonNeutral® company in accordance with The Carbon Neutral Protocol. Our emissions are offset to net zero through these projects which are validated and verified by independent, third party standards:

Mississippi Valley Reforestation, USA ASR; Acre Amazonian Rainforest Conservation Project, Brazil, VCS + CCB; Darkwoods Forest Conservation, Canada, VCS.

  • Coronet currently uses 90% recycled aluminum that makes up 100% of our products. Our goal is to increase this to 95% by 2021.
  • We will continue to use 100% recycled materials in all boxing.

Conserving and sustainably managing biodiversity is critical to addressing climate change. 10% of all known species are in the Amazon rainforest and are at high risk due to deforestation and wildfires.

We have committed to an annual donation to the Rainforest Trust to protect 10,000 acres of Amazon tropical rainforest for endangered wildlife every year.

We are committed to continuing to innovate solutions in our products, processes, and work environments to achieve our sustainability goals.
